A little about Valerie Richards
Valerie has painted all her life in one form or another, using many mediums, oils, pastels, pencils, charcoal and watercolour. For the past 10 years, botanical illustration has been a passion and has been studying with the Royal Botanical Gardens art classes, organised by the friends of RBG. It is a most satisfying study and the range of subjects is endless, the gaining of knowledge while painting is an added extra
dimension. Pet portraits in coloured pencils, remain one of her favourite activities, the personality of each subject is a lovely challenge.
In summary: Botanical artist with 10 years’ experience, Plants, Butterflies, insects and pet portraits are Valerie Richards main interest. (Extract from ArtsAtlas, Central Highlands)
An Exhibition of Valerie Richards works will be held at the Moulamein Art Gallery from 7 June 2017.
