Jorja Dalton, May 2019

Jorja Dalton is an accomplished musician, singer, song writer and drama performer – and she is just 15.

Jorja attends Hillston Central School as well as undertakes extra vocational creative arts education at the Dubbo School of Distance Education, and she is about to attend the Tamworth Country Music Academy, but she doesn’t stop there.

Jorja also attends vocal coaching, song writing workshops, plays first trumpet in the Hillston Central School band, is a member of the Senior Drama Troupe at the Griffith Regional Theatre, plays the guitar, ukulele, trumpet, is now learning the cello and until recently was also a member of the Riverina Central Choir based out of Wagga.

Over the past 14 months, Jorja has attended numerous auditions and music camps; entered song writing competitions, eisteddfods and talent quests; performed at countless events throughout the region; performed as a member of the core choir at the School Spectacular and been the support act to renowned musicians such as The Bushwackers, Taylor Henderson, Shannon Noll and Aaron Jurd at regional events and festivals across the state.

In January this year, Jorja was an entrant in the CCMA talent quest and was awarded the overall Junior winner and won a scholarship to attend the Junior Academy in Tamworth in July this year. AND as if this is not enough, Jorja was also recently notified of her success in making the intermediate round of auditions for the 2019 Schools Spectacular – Feature Artist/Backing Vocalist.

Are you exhausted just reading this?

Jorja, if this is how you commence a career in the arts, then we can’t imagine what you will achieve as your journey continues!!!!!
