You've been waiting for it, and we are happy to announce, that from the Sydney Opera House to Deniliquin and surrounds, South West Music Regional Conservatorium is proudly bringing you the accomplished and acclaimed, Acacia Quartet, for three stunning classical performances over three days in three fabulous regional locations.
Friday, 21 June 2019 - 7.30pm at the Deniliquin Uniting Church
Saturday, 22 June 2019 - 7.30pm at the Wooboota Hall
Sunday, 23 June 2019 - 2.00pm at the Tocumwal War Memorial Hall
With nine recorded albums, of which ‘Blue Silence’ earned them a nomination for an APRA-AMCOS Art Music ‘Award for Excellence’, Acacia have taken their passion for Australian composers to audiences around the world. The South West Music series will feature the works of Mendelssohn, Lyle Chan and Arvo Part.
Throughout the concert, Acacia Quartet performed so well that at times they seem like only one instrument, such is their clarity and unison. The colours they bring out of music ranges from deathly quiet to intensely dynamic. It’s always such a pleasure listening to them. Rob Kennedy for City News Canberra, August 2018
