Young Voices, Strong Communities receives COMPACT funding

We're thrilled to share that END FM Incorporated, in partnership with South West Arts, has been awarded funding through the NSW Government's Community Partnership Action (COMPACT) Program.

Young Voices, Strong Communities is one of seven projects sharing in $1.2 million announced by Minister for Multiculturalism Steve Kamper on 10 July 2026.

The program will bring students from schools across South West NSW together to produce podcasts on themes of community, belonging, culture and resilience — while building real skills in cross-cultural storytelling, audio production and journalism.

The two-year program begins July 2026 and is part of the state-wide COMPACT Alliance, now comprising 89 organisations working to connect communities across NSW.

What is The END FM?

The END FM is a new non-profit youth community radio station that provides a creative hub for engaging young people with both entertainment and training opportunities. The station itself is located in Deniliquin but caters to the South West region of New South Wales.

Who runs The End FM?

The END FM is led by the Youth Leadership Committee and supported by staff of both The End FM and South West Arts. The decisions around the direction of the radio station, its projects, music and programs are decided by the committee, representing the local community.
